One thing worth knowing if you live in town: Garretson runs a yard waste site for city residents, open roughly May through October depending on the weather. Leaves, grass, branches and bushes go there free, paper waste bags included. If that is all you have, you do not need us. What it will not take is plastic bags, lumber, pallets, fence and construction material, wood furniture, oversized stumps or household garbage, and that is most of what actually comes out of a remodel or a cleanout. Those are the loads to call about, along with anything you would rather not make six trips with. Check the current rules with the city, since the dates move with the weather.

So here is how we price it in town. If you live in the city and all we are hauling is branches, leaves, grass or bushes, there is no dump fee on your invoice. That material goes in free for Garretson residents, so there is nothing for us to pass on. You pay for the labour and nothing else: cutting it down if that is part of it, loading, the run out to the pile, and unloading at the other end. Anything the site will not take gets quoted separately, so a mixed pile never gets charged at the higher rate all the way through.

And no, the bags do not go in. Everything gets tipped out of the woven contractor bags at the pile and the bags come home with us, which is the rule and also the reason we own a lot of woven contractor bags.
